My Baby Shower

Here I am. Almost 33 weeks in this picture. My sister, Sonia, hosted my baby shower at her house this past weekend and it was a success!!! Thanks to everyone who came!
Barb and Jenn, my in-laws
And here's my pregnant twin, Melissa :) We HAD the same due date but now she's having her baby a week sooner than me. Lucky girl. My pose is weird here...almost like a beached whale.
Mis amigos...Mackenzie, Allie, Jessica, Melissa, then Justine, Kara, and Kelli in the back. We didn't get any pictures of the other guests like my aunts and other cousins. Oops!

Kara's cute little baby Peyton.
Just a few of the cute baby clothes I have for baby Kendra.
All the yummy food. I ate way too much of it.
The cutest and tastiest cupcakes. They are the "sprinkles" strawberry recipe. Delish!

Bubba Talk

I would title this "Baby Talk" but I don't consider Ryder to be my baby anymore. Is that sad? He's just growing up and I feel like he's such a big boy now. He's talking so much and speaking in full sentences and I just love to hear him try to say things. I would say 98% of the time I know what he is trying to say...allow me to translate.

"lee mop" - clean up

"lease" - please

"day do" - thank you

"linas" - blanket (i will never understand why he calls this a "linas" it's not even close)

"mas" - Grandma (another one that doesn't make much sense but I still understand him)

"hel topter" - helicopter

"lane" - plane

"Paint" - Peyton (his cousin)

"see sees" - horsies

"toss tick" - lacrosse stick

"pee sun" - capri sun

I could go on and on but I just wanted to post some of the words he tries to say because I don't want to forget one day (when he's a naughty teenager) how cute he once was :) JK I love you Ryder.

31 weeks

I know I said I'd post a picture of me at 30 weeks, but I misplaced my camera for a while. So glad to have it back. This is me at 31 weeks. Ryder wanted to be in the picture too. I look so big! I wasn't even completely sideways either. I'm afraid of how much bigger my REAL profile looks. Anyways, things are going fine! I had an appointment last week and asked the Dr. how she felt about inducing moms early since Ryder was a 9lb baby and I'm afraid to have another large baby. She said I'd have another ultrasound at 36 weeks and they would try their best to estimate this baby's weight and if they thought it would be large they would MAYBE induce me a week early. I'm not going to hold my breath though. I'm sure this baby will stay in as long as she can just like Ryder did. She is super active and layin' LOW...literally. I'm carrying her sooooo low. Maybe it doesn't look like it in the picture but I can definitely tell a difference from when I carried Ryder. It's just different. I can't believe I have less than 9 weeks left. Scary! I'm feeling more prepared though. Ryder has his 2-year molars coming in and has been keeping me up SO much every night. I'm already adjusting to sleep-deprivation. Well...til next time....

My Ry Ry

Ryder is just growing up so fast. Every week he's saying and doing something new, it's amazing. He's looking older all the time too. These pictures were taken by Allie Sorensen at a lacrosse game we went to. Ryder LOVES to go to lacrosse games because there are always kids to run around and play with. He and Kade Bowyer love to roll these tires around at Gilbert High and stack them and hide in them. It's so funny. Anyways, Allie started taking pictures of him and he was enjoying it. He even started posing. He loves the camera! Whenever someone talks to Ryder and says, "How are you?" he just gets real shy and won't talk so I have to tell him to say, "good" and he'll copy me. Just yesterday he answered by himself for the first time! It took me by surprise. His great grandpa Stowell came over and said, "Hey Ryder! How are you?" Ryder just smiled and said, "Good!" Jon and I just started laughing. Then I sneezed and Ryder said, "Bless you!" HAHA! He's never said that before but I always say it to him when he sneezes. Also, if he sees me get emotional and cry he'll say, "What's wrong?" He is just so cute I can't stand it. It's funny how such simple things from your kids can make you so happy. He talks about the baby in my belly a lot. He always wants to see her. HA! He likes to lift my shirt and kiss my tummy and pat it and lay his head on it. I think he's going to be such a sweet brother.
