Streaker Baby!

Just had to post this one. Sorry he's naked and you might see his schmeckle but hey he's an innocent babe and it's cute! This was taken the same time I took the nakie pictures below when I was trying to change his diaper and he was fighting me so I gave up. Kinda funny that he just wanted to play naked but then he crawls to his diaper and picks it up. Maybe he doesn't like being nakie after all??

For Rent

Just wanted to post pics of our first family home so I don't ever forget it (though I don't see how I could). I finally drove by it the other day. There is a FOR RENT sign out front and the grass is really long. Sad day. There is still nobody living there. It's all alone. I will always miss this house until we get another one someday. However, this is not my dream house people! I hated being on a corner and having people zoom by in their rice burners 24/7 waking Ryder up from naps and the house was pretty small. But hey...it was a HOUSE!
Now THIS is my dream house! How cute is this house? This actually belonged to our cousins on Jon's side, Chip and Stephanie. They just moved out of it and I WISH I could move in. However, I'm not sure how I feel about moving to the east coast (Charlotte) just to live there. But I just think this home is beautiful and if I could get into a house like this I would be the happiest girl in the world.

Mr. Cute

Sara bought Ryder sunglasses a few months ago and he liked them. He would actually keep them on his face. Unfortunately (sorry you had to find out this way, Sara) they broke after like 2 days. I went to Wal-Mart and decided to buy him another pair and now he's old enough he wants to take them off immediately and eat them. What a waste of $5. Oh well, he likes to play with them anyways.
Dan gave us a bandana and I sometimes I put it on Ryder. It looks super cute when I match it with his black Quicksilver shirt. In this picture he kinda pulled it off so it looks funny. He is still so adorable.
Just eatin' a biter biscuit.
We went to Heber for Labor Day to check out the progress on the cabin my parents are building. Ryder is just chillin' in his carseat. This is probably my current favorite picture of him even though his face is mostly covered. I just love it!

Sorry for the graphic nature of this content. I was trying to change his diaper, which is more of a fight nowadays, so I just let him go and he liked playing in the nude. He loves to play with Jon's wireless keyboard lately. We just love our little man. He makes us laugh ALL the time. He makes silly faces and sounds and just does funny stuff. He's the best.

Little Drummer Boy

We were bored one day and Jon was listening to The Used and he was making Ryder drum along. I thought it was hilarious so I busted out my camera. I couldn't stop laughing and I'm pretty sure you can hear me in the video. Sorry it kinda turned out dark. I was a little disappointed when I uploaded it. It was much lighter when played on my camera.

Newsflash!

Just wanted to let everyone know that as it turns out my computer has got some serious illness. I have been using Jon's laptop for the past couple posts but none of my pictures are saved on it. Luckily my uber smart brother WiL took my computer home to wipe the slate clean and give it a fresh new start. I am just so happy that he will be able to save my pictures for me. That computer has every picture I've taken of Ryder since he was born. I can't lose those!!! I don't even have them backed-up, which is terrible. So I'm super bummed and sorry but I will not be posting again until I get my computer and pictures back. have a great week everyone!

Scentsy!

Meet my newest BFF! If you have not heard of it, you gotta look it up online and GET ONE! I was at my mom's house 2 weeks ago and she was going to order herself a Scentsy from our neighbor. Lucky for me my nice mumsie decided to buy me one too! I love it! I got 3 scents and they smell sooooo good. My favorite is Black Raspberry Vanilla (a Bath & Body Works scent) and I also have Pumpkin Roll and Sugar Cookie (Jon's favorite). It took 2 weeks for it to come and those 2 weeks were killer. I feel like our apartment smells like a smoker lived here. Not that they smoked inside but that they brought the smell in with them. I've been wanting to get a Glade plug-in or SOMETHING to make it smell better but I'm glad I didn't because Scentsy is the bomb diggity. They have several different styles of warmers and over 80 yummy scents! The warmer burns wickless wax that has more fragrance than any candle and it doesn't evaporate, smoke, or have flames. It is super easy to clean and it just looks like a decoration rather than a candle. Anyways, I could go on and on but I won't. I just like to share with people when I really like something. I love Scentsy!

Plethora

I titled this post "Plethora" because that is what you are about to get. An "overabundance" of everything that has been going on the past month! Don't ask me where I've been because I couldn't even tell you. We've just been busy, busy, busy! Being a working mother is busy enough...so much more has been added to it that I've had zero time to blog and I've missed it! So first of all, for those of you who didn't already know, WE MOVED! Yep, that's right. Buh-bye first family home! We had many great memories in that house and we will miss it greatly. I haven't even driven by one time since we moved because I might shed a tear or two. I already miss my friend Amber who lived on our street. She and her hubby Ryan were the coolest neighbors we've had by far. I could go down there whenever just to hang out or ride bikes or steal a drink from her fridge (she always has soda in stock). I also loved that we would just spontaneously drive to Sonic for happy hour or go shopping. I miss you, AMBER! I would post a picture of her but guess what??? I can't upload any pictures! My computer is being super gay and for some reason my gmail is all messed up and sometimes blogger doesn't work for me. It's awesome! So this post will just be for reading and hopefully I can get my computer fixed so that the next post will be all pictures! So moving on...we are now in the next phase of our life...apartment life. It's not so bad...we live next door to Kai and Clarissa Nelson, who we kinda know, so that's good. They are close to our age with a baby that is just a week or so older than Ryder. We live in a two-story, two bedroom, two bathroom townhome, which is on the second level of the building!! You can only imagine how many stairs I climb up daily. Lemme tell ya, I've already lost a couple pounds. Anyways, we plan to live here until we pay off some debt and save money. Second item of business...Ryder is now 7 months old! I'm going to list the milestones now just for documenting purposes.
- He sits up all by himself. He falls over sometimes but he does real well!
- He can roll from front to back AND back to front.
- Just today he went from sitting up, fell on his back, rolled to his tummy, then pushed himself back to sitting up all by himself! We were so proud!
- He can feed himself a bottle. He's been doing it for almost a month now. It's awesome! We can just set him on the couch and he feeds himself an entire 6 oz bottle!
- He has 2 teeth! The two front bottom nibblers. he likes to use them...a lot.
- He can eat (some) chunkier baby foods and fruit puff grain snacks as well as biter biscuits!
- He is starting to warble a little bit and I swear I heard him say "dada" a few weeks ago. He hasn't said it again though.
- He can push himself up to hands and knees and sometimes he gets on his hands and tippy toes and sticks his little bum up in the air. However, no real crawling yet.
- He is starting to answer to his name. Or maybe it's just any talking....but it seems like he answers to it.
- He can pick things up with his thumb and pointer finger.
- He wears 1 yr old clothes now and can even fit into most 18 month old clothes. ALSO, there is one 2 year old shirt that he can fit into but I think that it is just a brand that runs smaller.
We are so proud of him and love him more everyday! He is our big boy...literally! He's huge! Whenever people see me holding him they say he is too big for me and that I won't be able to carry him much longer. It's so true. So I don't know if you all remember my post from May when I had changed my hairdo. Well it lasted 4 months and I missed being a blonde so I AM BACK! Not completely, but I'm on my way. Jon's cousin Emily assisted my hairdresser Chelsea (who I miss like crazy but can't afford right now) so I trusted her to highlight my hair and she did a great job. I love it. I am back to my old self again. I'm glad I went dark for a while because Jon really liked it and it was a fun change but I just didn't feel like ME! People that come into my work on a regular basis didn't even recognize me when I went back to work. So many people ask me, "Did you used to be blonde?" It's like going dark made me invisible or something. And everytime I see myself in pictures with my darker hair, I don't feel like it looks good. I am just meant to be blonde. It's who I am! I am proud of it. Unfortunately (for me) Emily is going to be serving a mission in Sydney, Australia and leaves early October so I'm hoping when we have more money I can go back to Chelsea and I continue to make my hair blonder. Right now it is the dark color with some natural-looking blonde highlights so it's not super drastic. So Jon quit working for his dad a couple months ago as most of you know and has tried a couple different jobs since then but hasn't stuck with any of them because they were commission only and that just doesn't work for our situation right now. He has had a few interviews this past week and has more set up for next week. Please keep him in your prayers if you can remember. He really needs a job so we can start paying off debt! Well that's pretty much it for now. Not much else has happened. We are still living and loving it!
